HELP US FIGHT BACK AGAINST LANDLORD HARASSMENT/ Make a Call for Justice!

Support Causa Justa :: Just Cause member Robert Frison as he fights back against managers in his building who have been harassing him for over a year now. His managers, David Hodges and Bill Alvarez have: –entered his apartment illegally while Robert was home;

–Sent an illegal rent increase notice to tenants demanding a higher rent just 1 day before  the higher rent was due!;

–Revved up their vehicle behind Robert while he was walking inside the building’s garage making him feel unsafe;

–Hired racist and hostile workers to work on the building;

–Pitted other tenants against Robert;

–Not responded to Robert’s concerns in the building;

–Left several harassing notices on Robert’s door or car;

–Attempted to illegally take away his handicap parking spot.

— More recently, one of the managers is trying to sue Robert in small claims court simply because Robert is taking a stand against the harassment.

We know that Robert’s situation is not unique and that many tenants in Oakland face all kinds of harassment from their managers or landlords on a daily basis. This is a first of more actions to come addressing landlord harassment in Oakland and SF. Please join us in this fight for tenant rights!

MAKE A CALL

Please call Greg Kennedy, president & CEO of Kevlyn Investment, the company that manages the building Robert lives in, between 9-5pm weekdays at (530) 758-4350 and say to him or his secretary (if he is not in):

“I am calling on behalf of Robert Frison, a tenant at Lake Park Apts, and I support Robert’s demand that you:

1.    “Remove resident manager David Hodges and maintenance manager Bill Alvarez from their positions at Lake Park Apartment.
2.    “Immediately stop all forms of harassment towards ALL tenants.”

NEIGHBORHOOD FLYERING!

Please join us as we do some neighborhood flyering and let Robert’s neighbors know how these managers treat their tenants. We will be walking around the neighborhood and handing out flyers to residents in the area. Let’s show managers and landlords who really has the power – tenants!

AYUDANOS A LUCHAR CONTRA ACOSO DE PROPIETARIOS!

Apoye a miembro de Causa Justa:: Just Cause Robert Frison mientras lucha contra los gerentes en su edificio que lo han estado acosando desde hace más de un año. Los gerentes, David Hodges y Bill Alvarez han:

–entrado en su apartamento ilegalmente mientras que Robert estaba en casa,

–Enviaron un aviso de aumento de alquiler ilegal a los inquilinos un día antes de la renta se debió,

–Aceleraron su vehículo por detrás de Robert mientras él estaba caminando en el garaje del edificio haciendo que se sienta inseguro,

–Contrataron a trabajadores racista y hostil a trabajar en el edificio,

–No respondieron a los preocupaciones de Robert;

–Dejaron varias notificaciones de acoso a la puerta de Roberto o en su coche,

–Han intentado ilegalmente quita su lugar de estacionamiento para discapacitados. Más recientemente, uno de los gerentes está tratando de demandar a Robert en la corte de reclamos menores, simplemente porque Robert tomo la posición contra el acoso.

Sabemos que la situación de Robert no es único y que muchos inquilinos en Oakland frente a todo tipo de hostigamiento por parte de los gerentes o propietarios cada dia. Esta es la primera de varias acciones que vamos a tomar en Oakland y San Francisco. Por favor únase a nosotros en esta lucha por los derechos de inquilinos!

”Estoy llamando para apoyar Robert Frison, un inquilino en el Lake Park Aptartments, y yo apoyo a la demanda de Robert que:

1. “Quitar los dirigentes, David Hodges y Bill Alvarez de sus posiciones en Lake Park Apartments.
2. “Alto a todas las formas de acoso a todos los inquilinos.”

DISTRIBUIR VOLANTES EN EL VECINDARIO!

Por favor únase a nosotros para distribuir volantes en el barrio de Robert y dejar que los vecinos de Robert sabe cómo estos gerentes tratan a sus inquilinos. Vamos a caminar por el barrio repartiendo volantes a los residentes de la area. Vamos a mostrar a los administradores y los propietarios que los inquilinos realmente tiene el poder!
